The public state university, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University also popularly called as B.R. Ambedkar Bihar University, is located in Muzaffarpur, in the northern part of Bihar, India, The university was launched in 1960 and has 40 constituent colleges. The university offers full-time and part-time courses ranging from undergraduate to postgraduate and research level and also provides distance education courses.
